How Many Players in Squad for World cup 2022 ? Fifa Increase Squad limit

The Upcoming 2022 Qatar world cup is major men’s fifa tournament of the year which to be held in November-December of this year. Fifa announced in the statement Council approves increase of Fifa football World cup Squads to 26 Players.

To help with the unusual timing of the tournament, FIFA will be making a number of accommodations. One of things they increase it roster size for the 2022 edition and also allow more players to available for the national team coaches.

• Squad lists: 26 players (from 23 players)
• Eligible lists: 55 players (from 35 players in 2018)
• Bench players: 15 players (from 12 players)
• Available substitutes: 5 per match (from 3)

FIFA also took into account the “broader context of the disruptive effects caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on squads before and during tournaments”.

So Now All National Teams had named squad of 23-26 players for world cup.
