Hayya card holders can travel for free on the Doha Metro during world cup

From November 10 until December 23, Hayya card holders will be able to ride the Metro for free. This was announced in a press conference held in Doha on Wednesday.

At a transport security event, Qatar Rail announced the introduction of extended Doha Metro hours for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. From November 20 to December 18, trains will run from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m., and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m.

The capacity of the metro is set to rise to 110 trains per day, with a window between each train of 165 seconds. The World Cup will have five transportation means for people: private cars, taxis, metros, buses, and other transportation. Twenty-five percent of the cars you will see in the World Cup are environmentally-friendly and sustainable.

Private parking will be provided near metro stations and free transportation is allowed with a Hayya Card from November 10 until December 23
